Thanks to the participation by 18 Ontario real estate boards in the Every REALTOR^® Campaign, your REALTORS Care Foundation was able to make a difference in communities across Ontario. Your support meant that the REALTORS Care Foundation was able to grant over a quarter of a million dollars to shelter-related charities in Ontario. These charities included women's and men's shelters, Community Living, Alzheimer, Habitat for Humanity, Home Ownership Affordability Program (HOAP), and Out of the Cold Programs. The REALTORS Care Foundation thanks all of our members (35,532 REALTORS^®) who gave through their real estate boards. You gave hope to families by: Buying doors that offered sanctuary, safety and privacy so a family can live without fear and a child can do homework without distractions Purchasing a kitchen so a family can eat together in a clean place Helping a child to decorate their very own room Providing windows to let sunshine into a family's life Click here to see the charities who have received grants from the REALTORS Care Foundation in 2008. Event Update Presidents Cup – Wednesday September 10, 2008 It was a beautiful day for golfers participating in the REALTORS Care Foundation inaugural Presidents Cup held at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort. Kevan O'Connor, was the first Past President to be honored with hosting the Presidents Cup. He was thrilled that his team won the tournament and had the privilege of naming the next Past President from a local, OREA or CREA board to be given the honored of having the Presidents Cup named after them! Next year's Presidents Cup will be named after Tom Bosley, a Past President of OREA and the tournament will once again be held at the Nottawasaga Inn Resort on Wednesday September 9, 2009.
